The Parksville Museum is well loved for the hands-on, immersive experiences it offers visitors. Building on that spirit, we’re excited to pilot two new summer programs that not only enhance the visitor experience but also provide meaningful opportunities for local creatives to engage with the community and enjoy the museum grounds:
Artists at the Museum
This program invites visual artists to create and share their work on-site, giving visitors a chance to witness the artistic process in action. Artists will have scheduled times and locations to work outdoors on the museum grounds and may offer small works or prints for sale with prior approval. It's a unique way to blend heritage, creativity, and community connection.
Buskers at the Museum
The Parksville Museum invites local musicians, storytellers, and performers to apply to busk during museum hours on designated days. Whether it’s acoustic folk, blues, jazz, a fiddle solo, a choir, or a small ensemble, your performance will add vibrant energy to the museum grounds while creating meaningful connections with visitors.
Both programs are part of our 2025 summer pilot and will run during July through September, providing regular opportunities for local creatives to be featured on the grounds.
